Stop 1 – The Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe) – 1698
We start at the iconic fort built by Omanis. Learn how Zanzibar became the capital of Oman Empire. Today it’s a cultural center.

Stop 2 – House of Wonders (Beit Al Ajaib) & Forodhani Gardens
See Zanzibar’s first building with electricity and elevator. Your guide will explain the tragic history behind it. Photo stop at Forodhani – famous for evening seafood market.

Stop 3 – Sultan’s Palace Museum (Beit Al Sahel) & Palace Museum
Hear true stories of Zanzibari Princesses, Sultans and their extravagant life. View royal collections.

Stop 4 – Darajani Spice & Local Market
Dive into real life! Colors, smells, voices. See piles of vanilla, cloves, cinnamon, and fresh fish. We will let you taste & smell – and teach you how to buy like a local.

Stop 5 – Former Slave Market & Anglican Cathedral
The most emotional part. Visit the last slave market in East Africa. Go inside the underground slave chambers where 75 people were kept in a small room. See the cathedral built on top to symbolize freedom. Very powerful history.

Stop 6 – Freddie Mercury House & Zanzibar Doors Tour
Walk through the alleys to see the house where Queen’s legendary Freddie Mercury was born. On the way, we hunt for the most famous carved doors – Indian vs Arab style, and what the spikes and chains mean.

Stop 7 – Jaws Corner & Zanzibar Coffee Break
Finish like a local – at Jaws Corner. Famous meeting point for Stone Town elders. Enjoy traditional Zanzibari coffee with Kashata & our local snacks. Your guide will share final stories & tips for shopping.

Optional Add-On (Extra 1 Hour):
We can add Prison Island boat after the walk to see giant tortoises, or take you for Forodhani street food tasting at sunset.
